2014 OKC Athletics
Started on the OKC Athletic 18U team. Again hit at the .400 mark over the summer. Competition was good. Most teams had several college signees and/or kids who already played their first year of college ball. OK Fuel 18U entire team was made up of college signees and we beat them twice at the state tournament to become the 2014 Connie Mack State Runner Up.
Strengths/Weakness
Typically hitting around the 400 mark and I am a true switch hitter. I have good gap power but not a HR hitter. I have been an excellent fielder and can play infield and outfield. I lead by example, not a raw raw type of guy but have been known to pull a prank or two. Coaches have always complimented me on my attitude and presence on the field and in the dugout.
Currently I do not play year around like most of the top players in the state because of wrestling. Wrestling does put me out late for the HS season and my timing is a little off at the beginning of the season unlike most players. However, the discipline wrestling requires will undoubtedly benefit me in baseball and life in the long run. Once I go to college, I have no doubt my game will go to the next level in part due to the discipline I have acquired in my years of wrestling.
